libecryptfs1 software package provides ecryptfs cryptographic filesystem (library), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libecryptfs1
libecryptfs1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libecryptfs1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libecryptfs1 *
You will get with libecryptfs1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
